Synopsis: While browsing the bookstore 19-year-old Gwen is unexpectedly drawn to a volume of kinky erotica, earning her disapproving glares from the other customers. Will Gwen follow her deepest desires or will she let her embarrassment restrain her?

Each year there’s 4 Ultrakort films ( 2 minute animated shorts) that are being made with funding of the Dutch film fund and some big cinema’s. These short films will be screened before a feature film in dutch cinema’s.

For this film directed by Dario van Vree, I was asked to be the lead animator. My job was to set up the animation style and rules, and to take on some of the more difficult shots. I was also asked to finalize the beautiful character designs of the main character, Gwen, done by Bonnie Mier, to make them more animatable and more 3D consistent. They can be found below, as well as a compilation of my rough/tie-down animations for this film.

Note that the backgrounds are all cardboards sets, made by Vera van Wolferen. I think it adds a really cool feel to the film
